An attractive and in fine condition early 1700 pewter plate/dish with a single reeded rim.
The front of the plate is plain but the back has 4 Hallmarks that include the makers initials RB, an Irish Harp, a seated cat or griffin and one other that is illegible. We believe these to be the marks of Robert Bush, an example of his marks are found below, kindly donated from the Pewter Society database by Hillary Bagshaw.
Very good patina and hammer marks in the edge of the basin.
