A fine quality miniature painting on Ivory within a glazed and lacquered frame depicting the mythological scene of the "Abduction of Psyche"("Enlevement de Psyche") by the Zephyrs as painted by Pierre Prud'Hon 1808.

Prud'Hon (1758-1823) was a Romantic Painter best known for his Allegorical paintings and portraits.
