A fine Oil on Canvas painting of a Spanish Town Centre (Mallorca in the Baleares) by Kenneth Steel (1906-1970).

A landscape painter, line engraver and designer, Steel studied at the Sheffield College of Art in 1935 and was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. He lived in Crookes, Sheffield specialised in landscapes and street scenes. He designed posters for railway companies such as the LNER, British Railways, LMR and Scottish Regions.

The record for one of his posters is £1015 at Auction. He exhibited at the Fine Art Society, Walker Gallery, Liverpool, The Royal Academy, RBA, RHA etc.

The back of the painting is marked 'Village Square, Mallorca Kenneth Steel'
