A very desirable letter from the Supreme Headquarters of the Allied Expeditionary Force, Office of the Supreme Commander and hand signed by Dwight D Eisenhower.

Dated 20 June, 1944 and addressed to Mrs Hilda Henshaw of Glasgow who had written to him asking for contacts in order to get signed photos of Film Stars touring with the US Forces Entertainment Services.

Incredibly, Eisenhower took time so soon after D-Day to answer her request and directs her to contact the American Red Cross Club.

The letter has been partly torn on both top corners where they had been stuck on an autograph book, but the written parts are very clear,

A fine bit of history from the man that was in charge of the Allied Forces in Europe and later the President of the United States.

Size: 20 x 15cm
