WWII German Army Trench Knife

A nice, original example of a WWII German Army trench/fighting knife in good clean condition.

The knife has brown wooden handles but there are no makers marks or Waffenamt stamps visible.

The trench knife was developed during the First World War as a weapon for hand to hand combat in the trenches. It was still used in WWII, but in fewer numbers.

It was sometimes carried inside the Jackboot and is therefore also referred to as the boot knife.
