WWII German Danzig Free State Double Decal M35 Helmet

A rare, genuine WWII period German double decal M35 steel helmet for the Danzig Free State Police in good condition.

The helmet is painted black (with rust spots) and has the standard police eagle within a wreath on one side, but a rare silver State of Danzig badge with a swastika on the other. When these badges are encountered, they tend to be on Police or Luftschutz style helmets.

It is complete with its liner (Leather may have been period replaced) and chin strap.

The inside rim stamped 5340 and the chinstrap is dated 1944.
