A very fine condition British Queens South Africa Medal for the Boer War 1899-1902 to and officer.

The medal is named to Lieut A. REED, Northumberland Fusiliers.

The 3 bars consist of Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal. They are mounted together but not connected to the medal. That and the near mint condition of the silver points to it having never been worn.

We have checked and confirmed that the Northumberland Fusiliers were present at all 3 battles.

A kind thank you to Robert Kesterton for providing additional documentation.
