c1750 Bristol Delft Blue and White Chinese Style Tureen

An attractive and desirable English Bristol Blue and White Delft Faience Tureen decorated on a Chinese style with a man crossing a stream with a bridge.

This type of tureen, which dates from around 1750 was used for the storage of food. There are the usual frits on the edges caused by the brittle glaze chipping off.

There is a tight hairline crack to one side but this remains a rare piece.
